Losing weight is important because weighing too much is not good for your health. Being overweight increases your risk of health conditions such as heart problems, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer. The best way to lose weight is to eat fewer calories and get regular exercise. Eating more calories than you need will cause you to gain weight. There are various methods to lose weight but we have to make sure we lose weight by not depleting our muscles. Insulin harmone is the determining hormone for weight loss ie we have to decrease insulin levels by limiting our sugar intake. Nowadays kegonic diet is trending on people’s mind in which the diet consist of low carbs, high fat and adequate protein requirements as per different body types.

There are different methods to lose weight. They are as follows:-

1) EXERCISE :-

One of the most popular types of exercise for weight loss is aerobic exercise, also known as cardio. Examples include walking, running, cycling and swimming.

Aerobic exercise doesn’t have a major effect on your muscle mass, at least not compared to weight lifting. However, it is very effective at burning calories.

2) INTERMITTENT FASTING :-
Intermittent fasting is not a diet, it’s a pattern of eating. It’s a way of scheduling your meals so that you get the most out of them. Intermittent fasting doesn’t change what you eat, it changes when you eat.

The general idea here is you have to schedule your meals within a specific time period. It is recommend to follow 8/16 intermittent fasting i.e. eat within 8 hours and fast for remaining 16 hours of a day.

The excess insulin produced by our body is stored as a fast and by intermittent fasting it will use this fat as a food energy.

3) INCREASE PROTEIN AND DECREASE CARBS:-
Reducing your intake of high calorie carbs automatically reduces the amount of calories you’re consuming on a daily basis, which forces your body to burn fat stored around your belly for energy.

Women need at least 50 grams protein per day and the man needs at least 60 grams protein per day. Eating a diet that is high in protein can help maintain and build lean muscle, but it can also help you burn off fat. Protein helps maintain lean muscle, while limiting carbs can help switch your body to burn off more fat even if you’re following a calorie reduced diet plan.
