Caste based Reservation system in India

Reservation system in India are the governmental policies regarding minorities in society or positive segregation, it alludes to an approach or program, or giving certain priorities to underprivileged groups over the others.

The approach of reservations is being utilized as a system to conquer segregation and go about as a compensatory work out. A substantial segment of the general public was truly denied right to property, training, business and social equality as a result of the act of untouchability.
It is an affirmative action because it reduces tha gap between upper caste and lower castes. In India, the caste system and the arrangements of reservation strategy go as an inseparable unit. Indian social framework is a caste based hierarchical framework. The lower position individuals were constantly abused by the general population from high castes and they needed to endure the negative marks of financial underdevelopment.
According to the Census 2011, nearly 79 per cent of Adivasi households and 73 per cent of Dalits households were the most deprived among rural households in India.

Although situation in urban areas is far better than rural areas the overall ratio is still not upto the mark. According to 2011 census OBC forms 41% of india population whereas SC CASTE is 16.6% and ST IS 8.6% . THUS OVERALL 66% citizens of india comes under reservation quota remaining 34% comes under unreserved category.

I have a lot of respect to unreserved category candidates as they put a hell lot of efforts and they secure top ranks in almost every exam. Hence the cutoff is generally high in general category as compared to other categories. Even OBC Category is giving tough fight to general candidates. SC and ST Candidates lag behind as very few people score in top 200 ranks.

Quite happy with the decision to include EWS 10% reservation quota as there are also poor people in unreserved categories though not much as compared to backward communities.

If the reservation quota is removed I will not be surprised that 75-80% seats will be filled by general category candidates. Even if one child from poor family uplifts himself he can motivate and inspire a lot of people as well as the future generations. It is rightly said even if one family member gets educated the whole family is inspired and the future generations are secured. The well educated parents can enlighten his/her children and give proper guidance.

We all should spread kindness and respect each and every section of the society.

Conclusion: We should give helping hand to the society to contribute in some way or the other. Even if the amount is less dont be shy to help and do kind work.

DEPRESSION A BOON OR A CURSE?

Depression is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person’s ability to function at work and at home.
Depression affects an estimated one in 15 adults (6.7%) in any given year. And one in six people (16.6%) will experience depression at some time in their life. Depression can strike at any time, but on average, first appears during the late teens to mid-20s. Women are more likely than men to experience depression. Some studies show that one-third of women will experience a major depressive episode in their lifetime.

I suffered from depression when I was around 15-16 years old. What to say about depression it makes you feel like the loser as if the whole world hates you and don’t care about your mere existence. It’s like a dark well in which a person deliberately goes deep inside the well and in worst case thinking of ending the life itself.

The good thing is depression like other illness can be treated. When I was in depression my uncle suggested us to visit a psychiatrist and the experience i had in visiting psychiatric was very good.

I guess they are well taught how to train a human mind to overcome anxiety as the doctor helped me immensely to overcome my anxiety and depression. Though my uncle was quite unhappy as he suggested anti depressant medicines a medicine which works on some hormones like serotonin, dopamine and nonrepinephrine. Especially anti depressants works on hormone serotonin ,the hormone which helps us feel happiness as per the medical science.

Psychiatriast needs to be a good communicator and motivator at the same time. Even the patient needs to share everything with a doctor. Don’t know how much he charged me because I was not in good state of mind at that time but i still remember he was my uncle batchmate. In the session of 15 minutes he tried to motivate me and overcome my depression by his pep talks.

A person who is in depression is still always at risk of getting back to depression again but it is highly unlikely if that person is aware of his surroundings when he is back to normal state. There is always a social stigma attached to mental illness.

Why we should be ashamed by mental illness when we are not ashamed of any physical illness or even surgeries. We are taking selfies even before taking a surgery.

The profound writer
JK ROWLING was in depression when she started writing harry potter first book. Correspondingly I discovered my writing skills when I was in depression. Writing can make you feel light and your anxiety and worries vanishes while you are writing maybe because your mind is diverted on creative work.

Conclusion: DEPRESSION OR MENTAL ILLNESS IS ALSO NORMAL LIKE ANY OTHER ILLNESS, NO NEED TO BE ASHAMED OF IT.

TIPS TO OVERCOME DEPRESSION:-

1) TRY TO ENGAGE IN CREATIVE ACTIVITIES LIKE WRITING(POEMS,QUOTES ETC), DRAWING,PAINTING ETC

2) ITS YOUR MISCONCEPTION THAT NO ONE IS THERE IS WHO WILL UNDERSTAND YOU. THERE ARE ALWAYS PARENTS OR EVEN IF NOT PARENTS A DEAR FRIEND.

3) YOU MAY FEEL LOT OF GUILT AFTER OVERCOMING DEPRESSION AS YOU HURTED LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE BUT REMEMBER TO FOCUS ON PRESENT AND FORGO PAST MEMORIES. THEY WILL EVENTUALLY FORGIVE YOU AS TIME IS THE BEST HEALER.

4) ACCORDING TO ME DEPRESSION COMES WHEN YOUR SELF ESTEEM IS VERY LOW. SO MOTIVATE YOURSELF DAILY AND SPEND TIME WITH NATURE AS GOD HAS CREATED LOT OF POSITIVITY IN NATURAL RESOURCES. YOU WILL FIND SOLACE WHEN YOU SPEND TIME WITH NATURE.

MOTIVATION NEEDS DAILY DOSE LIKE FOOD AS EVERYDAY GIVES YOU NEW OPPORTUNITY TO RESTART YOUR LIFE.

HEALTHY TIPS FOR WEIGHT LOSS.

Losing weight is important because weighing too much is not good for your health. Being overweight increases your risk of health conditions such as heart problems, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer. The best way to lose weight is to eat fewer calories and get regular exercise. Eating more calories than you need will cause you to gain weight. There are various methods to lose weight but we have to make sure we lose weight by not depleting our muscles. Insulin harmone is the determining hormone for weight loss ie we have to decrease insulin levels by limiting our sugar intake. Nowadays kegonic diet is trending on people’s mind in which the diet consist of low carbs, high fat and adequate protein requirements as per different body types.

There are different methods to lose weight. They are as follows:-

1) EXERCISE :-

One of the most popular types of exercise for weight loss is aerobic exercise, also known as cardio. Examples include walking, running, cycling and swimming.

Aerobic exercise doesn’t have a major effect on your muscle mass, at least not compared to weight lifting. However, it is very effective at burning calories.

2) INTERMITTENT FASTING :-
Intermittent fasting is not a diet, it’s a pattern of eating. It’s a way of scheduling your meals so that you get the most out of them. Intermittent fasting doesn’t change what you eat, it changes when you eat.

The general idea here is you have to schedule your meals within a specific time period. It is recommend to follow 8/16 intermittent fasting i.e. eat within 8 hours and fast for remaining 16 hours of a day.

The excess insulin produced by our body is stored as a fast and by intermittent fasting it will use this fat as a food energy.

3) INCREASE PROTEIN AND DECREASE CARBS:-
Reducing your intake of high calorie carbs automatically reduces the amount of calories you’re consuming on a daily basis, which forces your body to burn fat stored around your belly for energy.

Women need at least 50 grams protein per day and the man needs at least 60 grams protein per day. Eating a diet that is high in protein can help maintain and build lean muscle, but it can also help you burn off fat. Protein helps maintain lean muscle, while limiting carbs can help switch your body to burn off more fat even if you’re following a calorie reduced diet plan.

CONCLUSION :-

HAVE A HIGH PROTEIN, LOW CARB DIET. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE APPROPRIATE AMOUNTS OF FATS PER DAY. FATS MAKES THE SKIN GLOW.

MAKE SURE YOU DRINK WARM WATERS IN WINTERS TO MAINTAIN OPTIMUM BODY TEMPERATURE.

INTERMITTENT FASTING(8/16) HELPS TO GET RID OF BELLY FAT QUICKLY.

CUT DOWN ON SUGAR LEVELS TO MAINTAIN YOUR INSULIN LEVEL.

“EAT FOOD TO LIVE RATHER THAN MAKING IT A HOBBY”😍✌👍👌

Newton Movie Review

STORY SYNOPSIS :-

Newton Kumar a rookie government clerk is sent on election duty in conflict ridden jungle of chhatisgarh because one of election officers refused to go by excusing health problem. The jungle is controlled by naxals.Despite the odds not in his favour he conducts fair election in the jungle.

Review:

Despite having serious subject the newton movie is presented with high entertainment quotient which helps the audience engaged in the seats. This is one of the rare movies where no songs are in the album maybe because of plot so comedy is must to keep the entertainment quotient high and the supporting actors provide the comedy necessary to put the crowd in the edge of the seat and not yawning in between scenes due to boredom. It is aptfully the right official entry to OSCAR overtaking toilet ek prem katha which is also a social movie with comedy as a genre.

Newton movie is straight to the point depicting the life of nutan Kumar who is searching for job even though he is 12th man of election duty. When he gets opportunity he grabbed it in both hands and takes a risk to conduct elections in the jungle even though he knows election officers are shot down in the past. People are in trauma to give vote which is the legal right provided by our constitution because naxalites have terrified them if they gave votes there children will be shot down etc.

The entertainment quotient is mostly provided by raghubir yadav and pankaj tripathi. Sanjay sharma has small cameo in the film which is entertaining.
Newton is a dark comedy that gives you equal measures of dread and disillusionment and hope and hilarity. It makes you see the pitfalls of the democratic system but also tells you that it’s the only one capable of positive change. This is reality at its finest, with credible performances and backdrops that immerse viewers into the world and where even the faces of the background characters leave a heartbreaking impression.

Are we nurturing our children the right way????

A few weeks ago, I had attended a birthday party of my daughter’s friend. There they played a game, the age old ‘Passing the parcel’, however, what was different was the way it was played. The child who was caught with the parcel when the music stopped was asked to leave the circle, but with that parcel as the gift, and then a new parcel was introduced. The game continued till every child got a gift. I asked the mother what was wrong with the earlier version, the version we had all grown up with. She said – “I do not like kids to be disappointed. See, here every child is happy as he or she gets to take a gift home. In another instance, I was in the park with my daughter. She was playing lock and key with her friends. Now, one of her friends fell down. Her mother, who was on the other side of the park ran to his son, all confused and upset. She scooped her son in her lap and started inquiring – “Are you hurt? Let me see! Do no cry! Shhhhsh, mama is here.”

The child, had a scraped knee, who was perfectly OK till then, started crying earnestly.

I was at a friend’s home for lunch. Her 5 year old daughter refused to eat what was cooked for lunch. My friends felt so guilty that her daughter would go hungry, that she cooked up her favourite pasta immediately. According to her, it was not the first time this had happened.

At the School Sports Day, there are no races, no competition. No first, second or runner ups. Because, everyone is equal, there should be no competition between the kids.

Kids today have a room full of toys and games. Some they ask, some they do not. But, they still get them. Everything in excess is the new mantra of life.

Our parents taught us self-reliance, while we hover around our children and want to protect them at all costs. We like to hold our babies closer to the protection of the nest. We go out of our way and rustle up something when they don’t eat what’s cooked at home for everyone else, because we don’t want them to sleep hungry. Instead of letting them play outside, we organize activities for them. We do their homework and their assignments. We even resolve their conflicts for them. It makes me wonder, what will happen to these kids when they grow up? Will they get a gift everytime they fail? Will they be able to handle disappointment? A child who has never been denied anything, how will he cope with rejections? There are a growing number of cases when kids run away from home or commit suicide because they are not able to deal with low marks in examinations or when they fail to secure an admission in an institution of their choice.

Will their parents keep them hidden in their bosom all their life? Our mothers never ran after us, a scraped knee was just that. She would ask us to wash it with some water and then forget about it. But, there was no drama that followed.
Falling and hurting was a part of daily life for us. We cycled, climbed up trees and jumped from the stairs. Today, kids travel in elevators and escalators (because they might fall down the stairs and get themselves hurt). Earlier, kids walked and cycled. I hardly see kids walking nowadays, unless it’s for a kids’ marathon and they are required to pose for selfies with their cool mommies.
Will they shy away from competition or be able to survive it? OK, so we can accompany our kids till the college gate and sit in the waiting area while they appear for a job interview.

A child who is never used to losing – how will he survive in the big bad world?

We are raising our kids to be adult babies.

So what should we do?

Stop telling our children that they are special all the time. They are not, at least not always. So reserve the praises for the times when they actually deserve.

Stop going out of the way to create happiness in their life. The life is a mix of joys and sorrows, and it is for a reason. We have no right to interfere with the nature. So let’s stop pretending that everything is all right when it’s not. Let the kids have their fair share of disappointments at an early age. It’s better to fall at 10, than at 40 !!

Conclusion: We are spoiling children by fulfilling all his/her needs since practically we will never fulfill their never ending needs.

Success and failure are the two sides of the same coin. They will never succeed in every part of life.Failure will knock their door someday and we should teach them how to cope up with failures and overcome them

We learn from obstacles as they are the stepping stones of success. Let’s make our child ready to face all the challenges that life will put them in future and make them independent to face those challenges on their own….
